Job Builder
This feature allows you to enter a job order online for posting to the America’s Job Bank site. Each job posting must be approved by an AJBSC administrator. Once it is approved, it is available for searching using one of the job search methods.
Accessing Job Builder
To begin a posting a job, click on JOB BUILDER on the account menu.

Click on the POST NEW JOB button in the Active Jobs section of the My Account page. The Job Builder Enter Contact Information screen appears.Entering Contact Information
The contact information you supplied when you registered appears. You can add or change information as necessary. Adding or changing information on this page doe not change your registration information. See "Updating Your Registration" if you nee to change your registration information.
Note: Fields marked with a asterisk (*) are required.
- Select one or more of the following check boxes to indicate how people responding to your job posting should contact your company:
� Address
� Phone
� Fax
� Online Application URL- Select one of the radio buttons to indicate whether this posting is for a third party or your company.
- Click on the Contact Name field, and type the name of the contact person within your company.
- Click on the Company field, and type your company’s name.
- Click on the Address field, and type your company’s street address or Post Office box number.
- Click on the Address 2 field, and type a mail stop or other secondary address information.
- Click on the City field, and type the name of a city.
- Select a state from the State drop-down list.
- Click on the ZIP Code field, and type a five- or nine- digit ZIP Code.
- Select a country from the Country drop-down list.
- Click on the first Phone field, and type your three-digit area code.
And
Click on the second Phone field, and type your telephone number.
And
Click on the Ext field, and type your telephone extension (up to six characters) if applicable.
Note: Clicking the Help hyperlink to the right of this field will cause a message to appear with instructions for formatting telephone numbers.- Click on the Alternate Phone field, and type a second phone number if applicable.
- Click on the Fax field, and type a Fax number if applicable.
- Click on the E-Mail field, and type an e-mail address if you have one. Providing your e-mail address allows you to retrieve forgotten passwords and receive updates if you choose.
- Click on the Online Application URL field, and type the complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address of the your online job application site to include the Hyper-Text Transport Protocol (HTTP). For example, if you were entering the URL for the New York State Department of Labor, you would type http://www.labor.state.ny.us.
- Select the Use this contact information on all active jobs? check box if you want the contact information you entered on this page to replace the contact information on all of your active jobs.
Note: When you click the SUBMIT JOB BUTTON at the end of the Job Builder process, a Contact Information Confirmation screen appears. Click the YES button to replace the contact information on all your active jobs, or click the NO button to submit the job without changing the contact information on your other active jobs.- When you have finished, click on the PROCEED TO NEXT STEP button. The Job Builder Enter Job Title/Location screen appears.

Click the PREVIEW button to see what your job posting looks like at this point.
Or
Click the SAVE TO FINISH LATER button. The Job Builder Job Saved screen appears. If you have not entered a job title, you will be prompted to do so. You can access this job posting or delete it from the Job Manager screen. See "Editing or Completing a Job Posting" or "Deleting a Job Opening" for additional instructions.
